Valentine's Day CRAFT: perfect for crafty moms, teachers, and as gifts to coworkers and friends

As a mom, crafter and lover of small acts of kindness towards others in the workplace, I am always looking for new ideas for holiday surprises. I have found the perfect Valentine's craft that is budget friendly ($50 for up to 50 people). I choose to do this for my and my husband's coworkers, hence the 'thank you' sticker on the container. I'm placing mine in the front office in a clear container with the sign you see above.

What you will need (clickable links to products):
  • 13 pages of white cardstock (suitable for printing)
  • Squeezable flavored Carmex tubes
  • 3 gram containers (Sold on amazon)- 50 in a pack
  • Hot glue or sticky tabs
  • Transparent 'Thank You' stickers (you can choose any saying)

Select a PRINTABLE (I've linked a few below):
  • OverStuffledLife.com

  • Papertraildesign.com
  • titatips.com     ($3.50, but sooo stinking cute)

Once you've got all your supplies:
  • Squeeze a mound in the center of the container (about dime-sized )
  • Place all filled containers on a flat plate
  • Place in the microwave until all are melted (1-3 min. they will turn translucent)
  • Take the melted ones out as they finish (careful not to spill in microwave, or on you.)
  • Allow them to sit for a few minutes until visibly solid (they will firm quickly)
  • Replace the caps on each container and attach it to the circle area using hot glue or sticky tabs (place edge of container at the edge of the .8inch diameter sticky pad).
(optional): add a dab of colored lip gloss for tint prior to melting
Caution:
Do not fill the containers more than halfway
Be careful as you pull containers from the microwave (adults only)
When melting, some containers may melt faster than others, I just took them out as they finished.

Be well,
