I sat to myself one day and the thought came to me, I AM THE PURPOSE. That very notion changed how I approached life and even my work. I knew then that I had to pursue things that made my soul smile, or all His creating will have been in vain. We can spend a lifetime chasing the reason for our creation (our purpose), possibly never feeling confident that we've found or lived it. I want to challenge that perspective and possibly give permission, or a license, to be a little full of yourself OR follow that passion. Our passions, the things we absolutely LOVE to do even when the process gets gritty and requires much of us, often drive our feelings of living a fulfilled life. "What if all that 'creating' was for me to live, and live life abundantly?" I'll be honest, I grew up being taught from the perspective that God created me for a purpose (which is understandable). However, that angle typically leaves room for experiencing decades of lack, being unfulfilled, and feeling guilty for indulging in careers and hobbies that bring the ultimate joy. Recently, the 'aha' moment occurred and it was almost like a weight was lifted from my shoulders. What if all of God's creation was just for me and I AM THE PURPOSE? What if He created us so that we may live and have this wonderful life, filled with opportunities to tap into innate gifts or explore personal interests. You know, living life abundantly. On a more serious note, many people who suffer with anxiety, low self-esteem and worth, depression, suicidal thoughts and attempts etc. question their worth or purpose in life. Just imagine if were taught that 'we are the purpose' rather than 'we were created for a purpose'. There would be no need to search, the purpose is already fulfilled and all we are left to do is live a life of abundance, in its many forms. Choose to BE the purpose you've been searching for and live out your passions. Stay well, Frankie Alisha
